Tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Montriond, The Retreat is a lovingly renovated 19th-century Savoyard farmhouse that combines authentic rustic charm with thoughtful alpine style. Sleeping up to 15 guests, it’s the perfect base for families and groups looking to enjoy the mountains in a warm, character-filled setting.

From exposed beams and stone walls to carefully chosen furnishings, every detail of the chalet reflects a deep appreciation for tradition and mountain living.

Rooms at The Retreat

The Retreat has seven beautifully styled bedrooms, spread across three floors:

  • The spacious Master Bedroom is tucked under the eaves on the top floor – cosy and full of character.
  • Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, with four more on the ground floor.
  • Each room has its own ensuite bathroom and can be arranged as either a King or Twin – perfect for mixed groups.
  • One ground floor room can also accommodate a third bed, ideal for a child or an extra guest.

Chalet Style & Spaces

Set over three levels, The Retreat has everything you need for a relaxed and memorable mountain getaway.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a welcoming bar and snug – the perfect spot to kick off your après-ski with a drink and a few games.

 

On the upper floor, the heart of the chalet is the spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. This inviting space is centred around a striking contemporary fireplace and flooded with natural light from the expansive sliding glass doors, which open out onto a stunning wrap-around balcony. A large dining table comfortably accommodates up to 15 guests, making it the perfect setting for shared meals and memorable gatherings.

Step outside to soak in the hot tub, enjoy the fresh mountain air and take in the peaceful surroundings. There’s also a secure boot room with boot warmers to keep your gear toasty and dry.

This is a dog-friendly chalet – so your four-legged friend is welcome too!

We have stayed with Jack and Jill a number of times, in the past, and this March 2026 at the Retreat was as good as ever. Sam and Anna, our hosts, were very welcoming and efficient. The cuisine is outstanding and beautifully prepared and served. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other guests and all had great fun. The old chalet building has been sympathetically modernised and is very comfortable and warm Although in a rural setting, which is very attractive the transport provided by J&J allows easy access to lifts and town of Morzine.

Such a good time staying at the retreat with Jack and Jill over Christmas that we went back last week!
Location is fab, a short walk into morzine.
And the Jack and Jill hosts (Anna and Sam) made the Chalet feel like a home!

Fantastic week with Jack and Jill at the Retreat. The chalet is well located and within a short drive to Ardent. Very homely with a wonderful centre piece fire place. Hot tub excellent, and of a decent size. The food was excellent and the wine was free flowing. Hosts really looked after us all well.
The lifts to and from the slopes were on call at all times which was excellent given that they were often picking up groups at differing times and places.
The whole team at Jack and Jill were very personable and made our stay fantastic. Thank you guys!

Very comfortable accommodation, excellent facilities and friendly staff. Access to and from the ski area was very straightforward and the food was always delicious. We'll be back.

First time staying in a catered Chalet. Rooms were very cosy and clean. Service was great with transport available everywhere 24/7 and great food all day long. Staff were very friendly and helpful with all and any needs,
