November has been a busy month for us here at Jack & Jill. Not only have we been preparing for the imminent winter season, we managed to fit in the London Ski & Snowboard Show… the London Freeze Festival… and some Jack & Jill Ski nights in the indoor snow centres!
My personal highlight of the London Ski & Snowboard show had to be meeting ‘Eddie the Eagle’ who was down judging some of the local ski talent & even did a ski jump to show the crowds he’s still got it.
Battersea Power station hosted the London Freeze Festival, and the industrial back drop was the perfect setting to watch the snowboarders fight it out in the Big Air Competition. Britain’s own Billy Morgan raised the bar for UK snowboarding and was the first Brit in the history of Freeze Festival that won the competition in front of a home crowd – Go Billy!
Our Jack & Jill ski nights in Glasgow and London were a great success – offering a fun social for our guests and their friends to get their ski legs back before the winter season. The indoor ski centre is perfect for getting to grips with your techinque… but it definitely made everyone get excited about the real stuff out here in the Alps!
Less than 4 weeks to go until the ski lifts open… we’re counting down the days till the powder…
